PortfolioBuild Editorial Policy

Our portfolio resources should help you make something you can show and explain. This policy distinguishes product instructions, practical suggestions and illustrative examples so you can judge what a page supports.

Product facts and practical advice

Product instructions describe PortfolioBuild features such as template selection, CV import, editing and paid publishing. Plan details should agree with the product and its pricing page. Check the current product interface when an older guide differs.

Advice about project selection, introductions and case studies is editorial guidance. It is not a promise that a portfolio will secure an interview, a job or a client. We do not present a preferred writing style as a measured hiring result.

Examples and demonstrations

Sample descriptions and sample project briefs are labeled as illustrative. The six demonstration accounts linked from our examples and discipline pages use invented personas to show product layouts. They are not customer reviews, endorsements or verified employment histories.

Customer work, testimonials and performance figures require accurate attribution and permission before they can be presented as evidence. Without that evidence, an example should stay clearly labeled as a sample.

Sources and authorship

External factual claims should link to a source that supports them. Product instructions can be checked against the product itself. Do not interpret an unsourced sample as a research finding. Resource pages identify PortfolioBuild as the publisher and link to our product background and founder page.

AI assistance

AI tools may assist with drafting, editing and code. An AI-assisted draft is not independent evidence and does not establish firsthand testing, customer experience or expert review. Claims about a person reviewing or testing content should appear only when that review actually happened.

Updates and corrections

The date on a resource reflects a content update, not a scheduled refresh of its timestamp. For a broken link, inaccurate product detail or unclear claim, email support.portfoliobuild@gmail.com with the page URL and the issue. Corrections should change the content and its update date together.

Build a portfolio around your work

Choose a template, import your CV if you have one, and edit your projects. Free includes one private draft. Entry is $2/month for one published portfolio; Pro is $5/month for up to five. Both paid plans support your own domain; domain registration is separate.
